“This is an unbelievable amount of money that will do so much to advance our mission to raise funds and awareness for our 170 member children’s hospitals,” says Teri Nestel, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
PHOENIX (PRWEB) July 26, 2023
Colossal Management, LLC, a professional fundraiser and global leader in modern giving, is beyond excited to announce that it has raised over $2.6 million benefiting DTCare and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® through the 2023 Super Mom Competition. This remarkable achievement showcases the incredible power of compassion, community, and the unwavering commitment of mothers across the country to support and improve the lives of children in need.
What is the Super Mom Competition?
Colossal put the spotlight on thousands and thousands of deserving mothers who came together to form an incredible community of strong women empowered by the role they play as “moms.” The campaign provided a platform for mothers to rally together, leveraging their collective strength and nurturing spirit to raise funds for DTCare and awareness for CMN Hospitals.
Who Won the 2023 Super Mom Competition?
The last woman standing was London Reber, a mom of three, who won the grand prize of $20,000, a relaxing getaway to Palm Springs, California, and a two-page spread in Woman’s World Magazine to tell her story.
Reber attributes her monumental win to her late sister, whose one-year anniversary of her passing coincided with the Super Mom Competition. Reber described this as “divinely timed,” saying, “This competition gave me the ability to connect with Elizabeth again in a really sweet and authentic way to let her shine.” Reber carries her sister’s loving energy with her through life as she lives her purpose through helping others — as a mom, a stepmom, a relationship coach, and of course, as the Super Mom 2023.
What is the Children’s Miracle Network?
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care.
“As we celebrate the accomplishments of Colossal and the Super Mom Competition, let us remember that the impact of this campaign extends far beyond the funds raised. It serves as a reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how small, have the power to transform lives and shape a brighter future for generations to come,” says Colossal CEO Mary Hagen.
How Does Colossal and Its Fundraising Platform Work?
The Competition is operated as part of a fundraising campaign for DTCare, a United States 501(c)(3) public charity organization. Donations made through this Competition go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donations, minus Competition fees and costs (including payment processing fees, operating and prize costs, etc.) and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare to the Designated Grantee.
“This is an unbelievable amount of money that will do so much to advance our mission to raise funds and awareness for our 170 member children’s hospitals. The Super Mom community has been so much fun to follow, along with the execution of how you and your team bring all the parts together to build something so meaningful that will have a lasting impact on children’s health all over the U.S.” says Teri Nestel, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
