LactaLogics Marks 50% Facility Completion, Setting the Stage for 2025 Launch

Dec 30, 2024 | Press Releases

“This project has been an exciting challenge,” said Bob Lowder, Project Manager at Dennis Group. “Building a facility that meets the highest food safety standards while supporting the unique requirements of human milk processing is a rewarding experience. Our team is dedicated to delivering a world-class facility that reflects LactaLogics’ mission.”

Reflecting on Dennis Group’s broader commitment to quality, Jason Jones, president of Dennis Group added, “Our commitment to delivering exceptional value for clients is unwavering, with food safety and quality at the core of every project. This facility marks a significant leap forward in the safe and reliable production of donor human milk, and we are honored to support LactaLogics in achieving their vital mission.”

“This year has been pivotal for LactaLogics,” said Glenn Snow, CEO and co-founder. “Reaching the 50% completion mark is an important milestone that underscores our commitment to making donor human milk accessible to premature and at-risk infants. The progress on our facility brings us closer to improving infant health outcomes and supporting breastfeeding success.”

The facility will include a high-capacity freezer and advanced processing systems while also serving as the home of the LactaLogics Donor Success Team, a group dedicated to providing comprehensive support for donor moms. Once operational, it will collect surplus breast milk from donors nationwide, process it using Gentle-UHT pasteurization, and distribute it to NICUs and families nationwide. By addressing critical supply chain gaps, LactaLogics will be able to ensure that more families have reliable access to life-changing human milk nutrition.

In March 2024, LactaLogics announced $92 million in funding to support the facility’s construction and operations. Backed by a USDA Food Safety Loan, a Department of Energy C-PACE loan, and private investors, the project aligns with national goals to strengthen infant nutrition supply chains and bolster American manufacturing.

As the year ends, LactaLogics reflects on its progress and the road ahead. With completion on track for late 2025, the company is poised to meet the growing demand for donor human milk-based nutrition products.
