A ribbon cutting ceremony on November 10th at 11:00 a.m. will mark the Grand Opening of Palo Alto University’s (PAU) new Mountain View campus at 1172 Castro Street. The new campus facility will be home to PAU’s teaching and training clinics, the Gronowski Center, and PAU’s E-Clinic. Formerly located in Los Altos, the Gronowski Center offers sliding-scale in-person and tela-counseling psychotherapy services for adults, couples, and children. As well as two specialty clinics: La Clinica Latina and The Gender and Sexual Identities Clinic. In addition, the campus will also house classrooms, faculty, and administrative offices and be a hub for community workshops and events. The Mountain View Campus is one of two PAU campuses, with the other located on Arastradero Road in Palo Alto.
With ready access to transit services, the new location allows PAU’s training clinics to be more accessible for meeting the diverse mental health needs of the residents of Santa Clara and San Mateo County. It will also facilitate closer collaborations with important community partners based in Mountain View, including the Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC), Lifemoves, and many other agencies, hospitals, schools, and organizations.
“For nearly 50 years, PAU has served the mental health needs of the Bay Area and beyond as a leader in education, research, training, and clinical practice in the fields of psychology and counseling. We are thrilled to expand our reach and serve the diverse needs of the Mountain View community,” says PAU President Maureen O’Connor. “I am proud of the high-quality mental health care our faculty and students provide at the Gronowski Center and E-Clinic.”
