Here are 10 ways by which health & wellness practitioners and doctors can improve their reach and consequently find success in their online offerings. Practitioners and doctors websites usually provide consultation bookings, courses, books and affiliate products to generate revenue. Therefore, increasing reach is of paramount importance for conversions. Almost all marketing efforts are made to achieve this one goal!
Today, publishing technology and platforms are made for subject matter experts (SMEs) and if you’re a practitioner you can do a lot on your own or hire a content developer to execute campaigns.
Here are 10 ways to improve your reach:
1. Write and publish articles – Many of you may have already already done this, but those of you that haven’t, it’s the best way to promote yourself. Write a detailed product review or in general about any topic, linking to research and products. If you do not have a website, medium.com is the easiest way to setup a basic blog. I wrote this article 2 years ago on how to write a blog in three simple steps, and I’ve shared a great AI writing tool in the post.
2. Make videos – As easy as switching on your phone camera. Make a 5 to 15 minutes video about any topic such as products or technology, and post it on YouTube, Rumble or Vimeo. You don’t have to have TV experience. A simple lecture or discussion can be valuable!
3. Speak at Events and Podcasts – Find opportunities to speak and prepare a presentations. Great way to build a network. For becoming a podcast guest, sign up for portals like podchaser and podmatch to find some great shows and approach them easily.
4. Guest Blogging – When words like “visibility”, “links” and “personal branding” come to mind, guest blogging is a great way to reach new audience in your field of expertize. Many online publications accept well-written guest posts, especially from someone experienced in the industry. Here you can learn the right way to be guest blogger. Target to have published at least 1 or 2 guest posts each month and watch your brand equity rise tremendously.
5. Sponsor or Organize Events – Instead of traveling by plane to go talk, why not host a local meet-up for businesses to hear about how a particular solution can help them succeed or solve a problem. You can either go formal by organizing a seminar or invite a few friends and colleagues to have a panel meetup. By organizing such an event, you could have product samples sold as well. These local mixers can help attract qualified leads and build your reputation.
6. Email Your Friends, Family & Followers – When you are looking to add to your client base why not email friends, family, past colleagues, etc. and let them know about your latest endevours. Make sure you explain how it helped you and/or people you know so they can easily identify the need. Pass the email onto people that might be interested and if you are really looking to get leads, add in a free consultation. Personal referrals are incredibly powerful.
7. Get active in new forums – Did I just use the word “forum?” Yeah I did. I don’t necessarily mean the forums of yesteryear (although a lot of those are still great places to network) instead I mean the new age forums. There are so many sites out there to help you establish yourself as an expert. I mean sites like Biohack.me, Wellness Universe or even Reddit. There are dozens of niche fitness and wellness forums popping up and are great places to discover new audiences.
8. Daily posts to Social Media – Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook & Instagram are some of the best social networks today. To receive real visibility, it’s pertinent to post daily, considering these platforms only show a post to a small percentage of your followers at a time, daily posting helps get the message across to more people. Starting a Facebook or Telegram group is also a great idea.
9. Publish an ad in local classifieds – For as little at 10$ you might be able to rake in some pretty good publicity with a simple text ad. Run those cheap ones a few times and then as return of investment starts showing, ramp up! These days you can do it right from your desk!
10. Subscribe to a Digital Marketing Blog – It’s important to have an inflow of creative and technical inspiration. I recommend Moz and SearchEngineLand as the some of the finest resources to help you achieve excellence.
